Deisiú Series Imagery – in collaboration with Erin Quinn
Created in collaboration with visual artist Erin Quinn, this image series extends the narrative of Deisiú, placing the collection within a quiet, reflective world. The visuals highlight themes of repair, intimacy, and presence, drawing out the emotional undercurrents of the work. Rather than simply presenting the garments, the images explore the atmosphere around them — suggesting stories of care, resilience, and the traces we leave behind. Together, they offer a visual context that deepens the collection’s meaning and invites slower looking.

Diaphanous Beneath What lies beneath? Below the waters transparent surface there is growth. Drawing on research from DCU’s Marine and Environmental Sensing Technology Hub (MESTECH) Diaphanous Beneath is a collection of garments which explores and interprets the growth, layering and patterns of the diatom and crab surface. Materials are manipulated, layered and embellished to represent the expansion of organic matter and the clear and translucent quality of the sea.Growth, action and reaction, layering, repellent surfaces, complex details. Fashion meets Science in this 3-dimensionsal visual exploration of these biofilm forming organisms.

Letters to a Silent Girl is a fashion collection inspired by the character Sybil Vane from Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray. Using hand-painted floral motifs printed on silks, the project explores how literature can shape and inform design. Through delicate textures and romantic silhouettes, the collection traces Sybil’s quiet strength, tragedy, and artistic spirit — translating narrative into material form and offering a study in how storytelling can live within cloth.
